City Bike Depot has come together with the help of many people some of which are featured below. The shop is unique in its look and feel and we went to some lengths to maintain the original heritage of the building. The Building was constructed sometime in the early 1900's (we have photos from 1903) and originally housed wool packing machinery on the lower floor and the accounting and bookkeeping on the upper two floors.
Mr. Raymond bought the building in the late 70's and undertook extensive reconstruction with the addition of the Mezzanine floor, new fire system and electrical plus interior rendering and a new concrete floor and drainage. 305 Kent was home to the Chair Doctor for the next 25 years and we still get customers walking in looking for them (now in Alburn).
We took on the task of creating City Bike Depot in August 2005 and we are still making changes but this is how it has come together so far. Thanks to a whole list of people and businesses who made it possible through their guidance, help and advice.
